Ho hum, it’s Monday again. The weekend just flew by. I spent the better part of the weekend cleaning and putting away all the Easter decorations. As far as movies go, I did get to see “Enchanted” which was a Netflix pic from awhile ago. McDreamy stars in the movie. I don’t know how he does it, but if you watch him closely he gives these “looks” that just make you want to melt and cry. Anyways, it seems all my other “hot pics” are taken… (i.e. Atonement, No Reservations, The Mist, Alvin and the Chipmunks, to name a few) but anyways Enchanted was a sweet movie. Good movie for kids, if you’ve got ‘em.
I went Sunday to Michaels to find a pair of DPNS for Knitters Fantasy coming up this Saturday. I didn’t quite find the exact size and didn’t feel like scouring all of creation to find the size so I got a set close enough. It will have to do. For what class? Felted Bag. I took that as an afternoon class because I prefer to shop in the morning while everyone else is in the morning classes. Besides I’ve been a bit apprehensive about doing a felted bag, so it seemed like a good choice for me. In the above pic are my supplies: A skein of Noro Kureyon, a skein of Cascade 220 (Lagoon), a pair of circular & DPN needles.
Nuttin’ else is new bloggers, so I shall be off. I’ve got chicken-n-dumplins in the crock pot for suppa tonight. Yumo!

Glorious sunny day today! Still cold but what a difference a little sunshine can make. At first when I woke up, I was in a Grrr mood because I heard all this pounding, tearing noise going on outside my window. So, I got out of bed thinking someone was tearing the house down when in fact the neighbor is getting new alum siding put on her house. So, once I was up and saw the sun shining I thought to myself what a perfect day for a drive.
Got dressed, got the car in gear and headed off to the Stouffer outlet sale to load up on french bread pizzas, lasagnas and whatever LCs I could think would want. Naturally on such a fine day, I took the “scenic route”, driving about an hour to get there. I enjoyed the “scenic route” so much that once I awoke from my “sunny daze” I realized I had passed my turn and went about 2 miles out of my way. It was funny too because I had never driven past my point of turn before and everything started to look unfamilar…. LOL…. low-n-behold my AH HA moment came like a ton of bricks and I realized WHOOPSIE, I had missed my left hand turn. So, this dingle berry turned the wheels around and headed back to make the correct turn leading me to where I was suppose to be going in the first place. Got there, got my DEALS, and headed back home yonder to unload and STUFF the freezer with everything I scored!
Later, this evening, I met some of the Knit & Hook group members over at the nearby town library to take in the 34th Annual Needlework Show which included alot of pretty quilts, cross stitch, crewel stitching, embroidery, and a few knitted and crocheted items such as sweaters, socks, handbags, seat cushions, toys and totes. This was my very first year of attending this event, and I was just in aw. I left there so inspired that a million and two projects danced in my head. Whew! Sadly, I was reminded of the projects I already have going and not going and decided that was enough for me for right now.
Well, I’m off to enjoy the rest of the evening. By the looks of things next door, there will be more pounding and now sawing going on tommorrow.
O! Joy!

Ugh, it’s Monday! Although the good thing about today is that the weather is warmer….. we’re suppose to get up to 60 degrees today even though its raining! Woo Hoo!
Last night during the episodes of The Tudors, I finished making a “cap for a kid” to take to Knitters Fantasy that I’ll be trekking to in the next couple of weeks. So happy the Tudors are back and I’m liking Peter O’Toole as Pope.
The cap is made from Sirdar Click in a purple white combo. I found the FREE pattern on Ravelry, but made small adjustments to my liking. I have a some of this yarn left over… maybe to make another hat (?).
Everyone did really great on the Movie Meme below. I filled in the last 2 that were stumpers. That was a really fun meme, and I’ll have to do it again sometime.
Welp, that’s all for today bloggers. Need to do laundry, figure out what’s for dinner today, and school work, all before Dances with the Stars tonight.
Make it a good one!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter ! Ugh! It was and still is the flu ! I do feel better despite still not completely being over it yet.
In spirts I worked on a couple of 7×9-inch squares for our local group’s charity challenge project (all except the white one on top which was made by another group member). These are crocheted. I couldn’t quite get the knitted version of the squares to come out to the right size and didn’t feel like testing needle sizes either. Besides crocheting goes faster for me. Anyhow, our collective efforts will be donated to al Warm Up group in this area.
The winds are howling outside this evening. We were to expect some sort of rain/snow mix today, but nothing has transpired yet.
Anyhow, tonight is elimination night for 2 people in Dancing with the Stars! I can almost guess on who they might be. I am, however, very impressed with Marlee Matlin…. she’s doing fantastic ! Gotta run, it’s almost showtime!

Top O’ the Evening to Ya! Happy St. Pat’s Day to Everyone! Even though I knew it was today, I mistakenly wore a red sweater today. But, in me heart I’m Irish for a day! *hiccup*
I got a request to “Show Me O’ Yarn” by my friend Vik who is excited to see the yarn I got totally on a bargain price of $1 each (6 O’natural & 6 o’winter white) at McMichaels (every other day but today it’s called just Michaels) yesterday. Nope! Have not a clue what to make of these yet. They had these and a wee small others of Berella “4″ afghan yarn by Bernat in green and brown. Looked like discontinuation of sellin’ to me. McMichaels is a local craft store here, you may have one too, and they are having a super duper o’coupon week this week. I used my Sunday 50% off o’coupon to get an o’Yarn Cutter Pendant by Clover. Clickin’ me heels on that one! Still have another 50% off coupon to use as well as a couple more. Lucky find indeed!
Tonight begins a new season of Dancing with Me Stars. I have no clue as to who to root for yet. Any thoughts?
Till then….. Why should you never iron a 4-leaf clover?
You don’t want to press your luck!
** grin **

Started snowing this morning. Itty bitty flakes, but thank goodness nothing is sticking. Cold too. But I braved it to go to the Michaels coupon sale ! Woo Hoo!
Movie Reviews: Saw 10,000 BC yesterday afternoon. Guys might dig it, but as a “Girl” I could not help but laugh my arse off and roll my eyes through the entire thing. (added later: They definately did not know how to knit at all back then … especially that net they made to try to trap the Mammoth, and that bamboo! Bad bad birdy! ) Seriously too, those long finger nails were just bugging me to no end…. did they not have no nail clippers back then, especially since they all spoke English really well. It was too comical and flake-ish. Don’t waste your money. Rent it if you have to. C- hunkering on D+. Notice the “hunk” in hunkering. The main character is some underwear model in real life.
The Brave One with Jodi Foster - Saw it last night. A good one! Recommend it ! B+
Here are a couple of movies that are coming up sometime this summer that were previewed during B.C. They looked pretty good. WANTED & IRONMAN.

Yesterday was so nice. The sun was out, the snow was melting and a hint of spring was in the air. Ahhhh! Today…… RAIN! I thought I heard the word “snow” thrown around in the forecast as well, but hopefully they are all wrong.
Still no finished WIPS yet. I worked on one of them last night during the rerun epi of Lost that preceeded the new epi. My eyes were doing the crazy up and down thing from tv back to wip, from wip to tv trying to read the sub-titles… I had to put down the knitting to finish watching the re-run and kept it down to watch the new epi until after Lost was over. I’m lovin’ the show…. so supenseful this season… it’s great!
I’ve been blog tagged. My friend Jenn wants me to spout off 6 quirky, non-important things about me, then pass it on so here goes.

As far as the weekend goes…. dunno for sure. I do have “The Brave One” with Jodi Foster from Netflix to watch. Heard it was a good one.
