Multiplying

It is so frickin’ cold here (20s) and its frickin’ snowing. Ugh! I tried to study last night, but I was so cold that I wound up putting all my books in bed with me with the covers over top of my head, my gloves on, until the cat comes over to the side of the bed and starts meowing….. which meant he was hungry. So I started bawling…(not really only pretend to possibly get some sympathy from the cat)…. “no I don’t want to, Mommy is under the covers, I’m cold”. Naturally, the meows kept coming and more frequently… like “get your ARSE out of that bed and feed me, feed me NOW!”. Ugh, he won the argument. Quickly I ran to the kitchen, popped him a can of his deliciousness, and ran back to bedroom - under the covers - and tried to get warm again. About 11:30p I was done with the reading, put my books aside, and the cat jumps up onto the normal spot he likes to lay down beside me, I pulled the covers over him, and we turned on the t.v. to watch our usual Jay Leno. The cat likes Jay Leno because Jay is a well-known cat lover. Oye!
Well, my preemie hats are multiplying…. not by much but I’ve got 2 blue ones done… now I’ll switch to making a few pink ones. How many will I make…? Not sure, I hope to make an even number of pinks & blues… maybe a few purples & greens… just enough until I get bored with it.
I stopped at our local bread bakery’s outlet store yesterday. I drive past it on the way home almost every day, so I decided to stop in and see what was up. I wound up getting some raisin bread, Dolly Madison’s apple & cherry pies, a couple chocolate zingers, and ….. my years gone by lunch bag favorite….. Cotton Tails…. aka: snowballs. When I was growing up they made (prob still do) the pink snow balls. The “icing” is marshmallow with coconut and typically inside would be a devils food cake. Yummy! I missed seeing these Cotton Tails at the outlet store, as I was walking out….but there they were in all their glory in a nice display. *happy sigh*
Diet? hmmm.
Update on the Recycled Can Business: I think I’m going to stop putting my pop cans out on the curb for trash/recycle pickup. I did consider, however, still putting the bags of cans on the curb BUT somehow tying set mouse traps on each bag so when the “robber” went to grab for the bags …. the mouse traps would go TWAP!TWAP! TWAP! on their thieving fingers. Too, I wonder how much I could get for renting a Catholic Nun with a big wooden ruler to stand over my pop can bags after church service on Sundays?! Anyhow, years ago, our city’s fire departments took part in collection pop cans to recycle so proceeds from the effort went to local burn units. In speaking with my LFD, there is only 1 station that is now accepting pop can donations. Apparently some other stations stopped accepting them because of pick up issues. Anyhow, I threw my Monday Morning Rant out to a local coupon group I belong to, and it was very interesting what they had to say. The current rate for alum cans is about 62 cents per pound. About 28 cans make a pound. Some cities ask their residents to recycle their items in order to save money on their resident’s sanitation bill. Also, some cities say it is illegal to take recycled items from residents curbs and face prosecution IF they are caught. Mind you, I’m not looking to bust people for taking my recycled items, I just think it is rather brazen and rude. Btw, love love the NE Couponers… they are so in the know…. and not just about coupons!
Well, I’ve got to go. Got to get a few more things accomplished today before tonight’s Knit & Hook.
Before I ”hop” along…. would you like a free sample of possibly very good also? Be sure to look at the lower left hand corner of the screen when you get there. I’ve tried their bars, and they are pretty good. Go here.

I’m freezing my butt off here, too. I’m getting so sick of the cold…
Anyways thanks for the link to those clasps! I’m going to have to think about that… I really like a few of them if not for Juilet for something else!
