Hunker Down

Bone chillin’, nose runnin’, …. ugh…. snow blows! More snow expected overnight with up to 6-10 inches accumulation, not to mention the frigid temperatures. Grandy-o-so.. Not! Like the sign though, not mine someone elses, but not a bad idea. I might have to get me one of those.
Ran a bunch of errands today and cancelled the tax man appointment for tommorrow. Not gonna bust a leg trying to get it done with the storm passing through. When I told the lady why I was rescheduling…. she says “Really?” Yes Really!
I’m prepared. Got groceries, got lots of homework, got knitting, got blankets, redneck long johns, cat has me to keep him warm, got hot chocolate-hot tea-coffee, got back up heat supply, and got hershey bars. I think that’ll do it.
P.s. Did ya hear? The Hollyweird writers strike is o-v-e-r. Wonder how fast they can write before I lose total interest.

That’s a cute sign and a LOT of snow! I hear it’s ridiculously cold over there! Nothing like a kitty to keep you warm on a cold night.
I heard that new shows would show up around April. We’ll see.
We got fudged out of our 3-5″ of snow. Barely a dusting, but expecting up to 1″ of ice throughout the night… trade ya, anytime!
Im with you on the whole hurry up I am losing interest thing.
Bring on the hot fluids and yummy yarns
Cris~
Man can you send us a little bit of snow please?!?!?!!? Seriously I forget what it looks like in person! HAHAHAHAHHA Hopefully you guys dont get dumped on to bad and everyone over there is fine and dandy do!
The groundhog was right then! Mamma mia, that looks cold!
That is one great sign. We are getting a butt load of snow here too. But I still have to go out in it to get to work. But this weekend better be a good one or I will be one made knitter! No snow in MinneSNOWta till I get back home.. lol
I left work at 1230 and it took me 40 minutes to get from Green to Cuy. Falls! But on the bright side, one of my kids sent their plow guy over to do the driveway! Stay warm & safe girl
The freakin’ snow has turned into frozen snow. Oye!
The birds outside “pigged out” on all the bird seed I had left, in both bird feeders. Then I had to go out and put bread down because they were “hen peckin” each other for seats on the chow tubes. Gracious. Squirrels were luckier, they got peanuts.
We had snow the other night… When I got home there was about three inches of the wet, heavy stuff. I thought to myself, “Hmmm, to scoop or not to scoop.” People were saying that it was supposed to switch to rain for a little bit, make some slush and then freeze again. So I missed American Idol to scoop the snow, only to pull a muscle in my back when I twisted funny. Then overnight, it did rain, but it stayed warm and didn’t freeze again. Yeah, I did all that work for nothing. I don’t even want to think of all the exercise that I got….I’d rather walk on the treadmill while watching TV, that way it doesn’t seem like such a chore. Now if I wasn’t such a klutz, I’d try having milk and cookies while walking and watching TV. Man, that’s terrible, isn’t it. Can you tell that I’m in a bit of a lazy, lay on the sofa and veg mood?
