Ugh! It’s been one of those…… freakin’ weeks.
For those of you who have invited me to participate in Shelfari I don’t know what is going on .. other than the fact that I cannot log on. I do the “process” and some have said I’m in their groups etc… but I can’t see anything because I can’t get in. I did start a book tracker on Good Reads so I can keep track of what I am reading this year. Hopefully it will be more than I did last year. Anyhow, if you’re on there and want to, add me as a bud.
Next, I finally got my DVD set of Leslie Sansone’s Walk at Home program went to go put it in the DVD player in the living room….. “Load”, “Load”, “Load”… nothing. So I go put the DVD in the DVD player in my bedroom and it worked. Trouble is … there’s no space to workout in the bedroom only the living room which has the DVD player that apparently all of a sudden decided to stop working. Ugh!
Apparently it is my week … for “Technical Difficulties” because once again….. it happened. I went to visit Ravelry to see what’s up etc…I went to the forum board to check out everything…… I was fine for about 2 minutes on there… and then the computer shuts down…… a big blue screen with lots of writing comes on….. and the only thing to do to get rid of the screen was to unplug the computer. So online again I went and to different websites …. no problem. The computer was fine. I go to Ravelry….. and bam did it again. Ugh!! Now, I did go back on Ravelry yesterday … forums, groups, everything…….. no problem.
I totally gave up on cooking dinner last night because of so much STRESS. So I opted for the Boston Market Chicken Meal. Thank goodness these people are just up the street and hang a right. oYe!
I finished knitting the Chinese Charm Bag. Now I’m just waiting on the “yarn-inspired” fabric I ordered. It matches the colors perfectly. While I wait, I am working on Warm Up America squares for the Knit & Hook group Charity Challenge. Our group will have it’s first meetup of 2008 on Jan 15th. So looking forward to seeing everyone again.
Now with that all said……. I hope I am out of the woods because tonight is the big TV show watching night. Don’t forget be on the lookout for Lisa’s sweater on Greys.
Current Weather: Sunny, a bit chilly. Suppose to get rain/snow mix by weekend … they are saying. Hopefully my “technical difficulties” will switch to the weather and we’ll have sunshine and 80 degree temps. But I am warning you… not to hold your breath on that one because I’m never “unlucky” that way.
I’m having the same Shelfari issues as you are. It’s very frustrating.
Oh dear! The “blue screen of death”. I’m glad your computer came back from that one, those are not good.
Kare had the same problem with Shelfari but I think it works now. I couldn’t accept invites for awhile bu that seems to have cleared up too. I think Shelfari may still be in beta a little bit. OYE! Hang in there!
I really like the shelfari idea but haven’t really started putting my books on…hope to do that this weekend.
I’m sorry to hear you had such a sucky week – it always seems to happen that way, doesn’t it. All the gadgets revolt at once. Hopefully they will be nicer to you next week!
