Presenting the latest… with wrinkled brows. The new project is the knitted Chinese Charm Bag from the Stitch n Bitch book by Debbie Stoller. Now that I, eh hmm, know how to knit in the round… I am knitting this bag/purse for a friend who is going through a tough time right now, I’ve recently learned. The yarn is Paton’s Shetland Chunky Tweed in Medium Blue. The yarn has specs of different colors throughout hence the tweedness. The bag is curling at the bottom, but I hope once the knitting is done and I put the thing together that it will be alright. I do have to find some really cool fabric to do the lining with yet… so we’ll see. I’ve got another 4 inches or so to knit. ** cross fingers **
My current read is a book Vik read last year while at the beach….. Yes, she is there again … enjoying the warm weather, sunshine, and being fancy free on the beach with plenty of reading material and knitting to keep her busy. Lucky girl. The book I’m reading is The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. #1 New York times bestselling author… yadda yadda yadda. It’s a big book. I am about 1/2 way through it. There is alot going on so every page, is a real page turner, some disturbing, grusome stuff as well…. but I imagine things were that “adventurously rough” in those days… “yikes”… It bears repeating…. I heart my washa machine & the dryer too, and throw in the bathtub, grocery stores, yarn shops, my car, my Rykas, jeans, cotton, and…. oh what the hay……. all modern conveniences. LOL!!!
I finally got around to putting away the Christmas tree & decorations over the weekend. It was so funny as I was dismantling the tree, the cat had his head tucked around the corner watching me the whole time…. like No, not my tree….! Sad, but comical.
Any fellow bloggers/bloggettes following the new Apprentice with Celebrities? I kinda lost interest in the show Apprentice last year, but this year with the new twist of adding just celebs (didn’t recognize Nadia Comaneci at all…. wow… reading her bio … she married Bart Conner remember him? They have a website.), I decided to give it another chance because my dude Simmons is on the show. He totally cracks me up. He started doing his own show with him and his family awhile back on Bravo, and I rather gained some human respect for the man because his kids turned out so darn …. normal. Anyhow, on Trump’s show - I thought the men were all goners in the task when all but 1 one of them started to “whine” about where they were going to get the donations by selling hot dogs. The camera swings around to Gene as the rest of them are “whining” in the back ground, and like a business man on a mission he pulls out his phone & black book and starts making some calls. Totally cracked me up when the rest of them looked at him and suddenly the room was filled with bright light bulbs going off on the tops of their heads. I feel sorry for the Women’s Team because they are stuck with Omarosa….. OMG !!! She’s baaaaack and with claws sharpened and in tow. All the while bragging how she had been on the show, and she knew what she was doing….. like hello…. NO!!! The centerfold should of stuck up for herself. I was disappointed in her. Shoulda called the big man with the big money and she really should of spoke up and told it like it was…if she did I don’t think she would of been fired. It’s gonna be a tough Thursday night ……. which show will be the better….. Greys? or Apprentice? hmmmm.
Night all! I’m off to class! GO BUCKS!!

you cant dismiss the greys!! NOOOO!!!! I cant wait for it to start over here… Will be sometimes in a couple of months Im sure….. I want to find out what happens with George and Izzy and does the Doc and Meridith work things out?? Oh dont tell me but I just wonder.. and what about dork butt and the redhead? Does she come back to him? (I can never remember his name even if I do really like his character now and Ive watched it for three years! HAAHAH)
I LOVE the yarn you are knitting! I love the solid blue color and all the multicolors now and then! How did I miss this bag? Is in the Nation S´nB you sent me, Andi? I´ll take a look when I´m back in the city.
I´m very grateful I can stay at the beach this days. Buenos Aires city is a HOT OVEN -I watched on tv- Poor Planet Earth…
I just read The Pillars of the Earth. Good book! A real page turner, although he could’ve condensed the 2nd half of the book down by half. After a while, the evilness of Alfred and William got tedious. OYE!
