A Rich Woman

It is such a beautiful day today.  The weather is perfect and by all accounts thus far the week ahead promises more of the same.

Happy Birthday Eve is today.  There was a knock on my front door this morning by the ever handsome postman who had a package for me.  I open the door and he says “I have a delivery for you! It’s chocolates!”   I notice it is a present from my friend Vik !!!  I tell him tommorrow is my birthday and as he hands me the box, he wishes me a happy birthday.

I decide to open the box today, I cannot wait for tommorrow.  I pull everything out carefully by the tissue paper (purple my favorite color) and out comes a stream of chocolate golden coins… 40 of them to be exact … she writes one for each of your years with hopes of the best years to come. So very sweet!  I open the birthday card and out jumps this bear giving a big hug to me wishing me all good things for the day.  I received some very cute paper clips to hold my homework together, a very cute kitty memo pad,  a bookmark with a pink beaded ball on the end…so very pretty, a gorgeous leather bag that I love so much and I will use often, and gorgeous gorgeous yarn..pretty varigated pink and green. so soft and so pretty!  I am debating on whether to make scarves or hats…. we shall see. 

Thank you so very much Vik for remembering me and my birthday.  I am very fortunate to have a friend in you and I feel blessed to know you.  I am also thankful for the many “life signals” we give to each other.  Although the miles seperate us, our friendship knows no distance.   Thank you for always being there  :)  It means so much.

I am a rich woman indeed.
