Garden a Growin’

A couple of pics from the back yard. Try not to look at the grass. Ugh, that is a work in progress. My pink & yellow Lantana is doing well. A hummingbird buzzed by it the other day. Not sure the flower is for hummingbirds, but surely it mistook it for one of those hummingbird feeders because he buzzed around the flowers a couple of times, gave up and flew away. Here are my petunias.. pretty in white and purple. Next is my Peter Rabbit pot of Sweet Basil I picked up today at the local Italian Market. And last pic is a snippet of my ever growing cherry tomatoes! I have alot, alot of green ones yet, pretty soon they will be for the pluckin’. I’ve got a hot tip for ya! If you want to get the most out of your tomato plants.. do the jiggle! No not you silly! Your tomato plant. Naturally you should have your tomato plants staked, so all you got to do is give the stake a little jiggle now and then. It makes them “happy” and they make more tomatoes!
On another note, I had to frog my lacey pink scarf. It was the yarn I used, Caron’s Simply Soft… it just wasn’t cutting it to my liking. So instead of ditchin’ the yarn, I chose to go with a crochet version, which is shaping up nicely so far. So when I’m done I’ll share the pic.
I did get a chance to go see Ratatouille! Very cute movie! It’s true what they say about a rat and his friends and his family! Thumbs up!
That does it for me today kids. Gotta shuffle off … it’s test time again.

Dont your flowers look lovely! and mmm that tomato plant looks like its going to be EXTRA yummie when all those start turning red…. I love growing fresh herbs but we havnt done any of it this year… so pluck some extra basil for me for your next dish! hehe..
Hi neighbor!
Love the basil and tomatoes. Your flowers are beautiful. Didn’t have time to start my usual garden this year. I’ll miss all the fresh veggies (especially the fried green maters). Have a nice 4th!
Beautiful pics!
Lovely flowers! So is that squirrel pic!
Yeah the cherry tomatoes are coming! How cute the Peter Rabbit pot!
