Babbling

A scene from yesterday. My friend Joyce and I went went for an exercise-walk at the Nature Realm, which is apart of the park system we have here. It had been my first time there. Joyce has been there before and she showed me around the place. They have an herb garden there and it was really interesting to see the different varieties they had planted. At the beginning of the herb garden is this frog pond with a babbling brook which is very nice. Joyce tells me to see if I could spot any frogs in it.. and when I looked directly at the pond I could not see any.. so I turn and walk a few steps and heard… “Rrrrriiipit”. Oh good they are in there, I’m thinking to myself.. and so I turn around and go back to look again… and nothing… no “rrrriiipit”. So I turn and walk away again, just a few steps, and I hear “rrrrrriippit.” Wise-guy frogs! Anyhow, it was a nice walk to see all the flowers, pretty birds, trees, and plants… not to mention good exercise! Would be an ideal place to sit and knit!
I mailed my Yarnie buddy her package yesterday so she shall be getting it shortly. I went to the knit group last night and that was fun. We had a couple of new members come out and I enjoyed meeting them too. I worked on a mitered square while I was there .. in turquoise and orangey colors.. As the group members gazed at my square I mentioned they were Miami Dolphin colors and I received a resounding “BOO!” So I pulled out my other square I made earlier in brown and orange… and the crowd eased up. Too Funny! The Cavs did not win last night’s game. I was so hoping they would “bring it on”.. and it appeared they were trying… so better luck next game.
I spent yesterday and this morning winding that cashmere into a ball. I haven’t decided yet to actually start the scarf yet. Maybe later tonight.
Now back to the view! Rrrriiippit! Mooo! (Bull Frog) Rrrriiippit!
