SJP at S & B

The weekend is flyin’ by ya’ll. Friday night I went to a play called String of Pearls at the Weathervane Theater. It was about a group of 4 women who each told the history surrounding a string of pearls… how they came upon them, how they lost them, how they broke them… etc. It was a rather raunchy play (shocking) which probably explains why they had they play in a small “box” type stage in the back of the kitchen area just off the main stage area which is normally where I go to see plays there. Which of course made it a rather “in your face” type of play ! Interesting.
Yesterday started out to be a beautiful day, so I got out in the garden and planted a couple of rose bushes. These bushes claim to be “sub-zero” so we’ll see how they do. I have another 5 bushes to plant in my back yard, but I’m waiting for the landscaper to come to map out a garden back there. I just have to decide what else I want to put back there… which may mean a trip to the garden store later. Thankfully, I did manage to get the rose bushes in the ground before the weather kinda turned ugly.. all grayish .. and colder.. which kinda lead the way for the showers that came later. So, I decided to stay in where it was warm and cozy and work on that homework.
Today the weather is gorgeous. Warm and sunny. This morning while making coffee, I looked out the kitchen window to see 2 bunny rabbits in the back yard. We normally have just the one who comes around sometimes to snack on the grass… but now there are 2! They were so cute trying to chase after each other.. would be just my luck if one was a girl and the other a boy…. grand!
I sometimes check in with Oprah’s show and on Friday I did just that because there was a big announcement coming from SJP - Sarah Jessica Parker, on a new clothing line she was coming out with. Sensibily speaking, I’m not a clothes guru, but I’ve always admired SJP for her sense of style and classical taste and I’m thrilled to hear of her new gig and the fact that this clothing is affordable!!! I’ll say it again…. “affordable”. Her clothing line will be called Bitten… as in bitten by the bug. So I watched her on Oprah unveiling her line… and the styles are really cute and very today-ish. Her clothing line will be featured in Steve & Barry’s … imagine that! Low-n-behold… there’s a Steve & Barry’s at the mall near me! It’s gotta be fate!
Have a great day today ya’ll. Happy Happy Birthday to my blog bud Brandy!

Hello, I was looking up information on the plant “string of pearls” when I came across your blog on the Play that you saw.
Unfortunately, I saw this very same play in North Caroline, with my elderly father and his wife- front row! Several years ago mind you. HMM. I thought it was pretty good until the end. Your raunchy explanation says it all. I thought this play died out, but I see it is still kicking around. Sorry you experienced it.
Take care
